Big Game Hunting
The term “Big Five” was coined by big-game hunters to describe the five most challenging animals to hunt on foot in Africa. It is still commonly used in tourist and wildlife guides for African safaris. The Big Five includes the Lion, African Elephant, Cape Buffalo, Leopard, and Black Rhinoceros. These animals were selected for the difficulty of hunting them, not their size.
